Bringing Paddle Integration Closer to WordPress

Our primary goal with PaddlePress PRO has always been to simplify the Paddle integration process for WordPress users. Especially for the ones that doing similar business like us. Selling WordPress plugins, themes etc…

This is why we’ve made it our mission to create a solution that effortlessly bridges WordPress with Paddle’s functionalities. Whether you are using the free version or the PaddlePress PRO, our commitment remains unchanged: to make Paddle integration a breeze for your WordPress platform. And with the introduction of Paddle Billing, we’re elevating this commitment even further.

Paddle Billing Support

One of the most anticipated features of this release is the support for Paddle Billing. We understand that our users have diverse needs, which is why we now support both Paddle Classic and Paddle Billing. And if you are transitioning from Classic to Billing, guess what? You can use both of them together with PaddlePress!

(For the recod, we are still using Paddle Classic on HandyPlugins)

Here’s a quick rundown of the changes in 2.0:

  • Paddle Billing Support: Seamless integration of Paddle Billing into PaddlePress.
  • Enhanced Expiry Date: The expiry date now supports datetime for even better license management. (Paddle Billing uses RFC 3339 datetime, so we adapted the way of we handle the data)
  • Staging Domain Support: Licenses activated for “example.com” now extend to “staging.example.com” and “stage.example.com”, supporting domains like staging.* and stage.*. This optional setting might be useful for some cases.
  • Deferred Script Execution: This addition ensures that scripts run efficiently, improving overall plugin performance.
  • Enhanced Security: We’ve introduced encryption for the auth code and license key, bolstering the security of your transactions.
  • PHP Updates: We’ve made necessary changes to support PHP 8.2 and fixed deprecated variable formats. Additionally, we have updated the required PHP version to 7.2.5.
  • Dependency Updates: Ensuring that PaddlePress is working with the latest and best tools out there.
