I’m excited to announce Magic Login today. It’s a passwordless authentication plugin for WordPress.

How does it work?

Magic login uses a technique called “magic links”. The magic link is a unique link sent directly to your email inbox which allows to authenticate you once. Even you don’t use the links for the authentication, it will expire (depends on your configuration)

Free vs Pro

The free edition of the plugin is also available on the official WP plugin directory, and it works without problem in terms of authentication. However, if you need advanced features such as brute force protection, customizing login emails, setting up redirection rules, WP-CLI support… you might want to choose the pro version.
