Multisite Guide

SessionQuota Pro supports multisite environments in a network-managed way.

Core rule #

On multisite, SessionQuota Pro should be network-activated and managed from Network Admin.

Why network-managed mode matters #

A network-wide setup helps keep session rules consistent across the multisite installation.

This is especially useful when you want:

  • Shared login policy across sites
  • Centralized administration
  • Consistent session enforcement

Where to manage settings #

In multisite, use:

  • Network Admin -> Settings -> SessionQuota Pro

Do not expect separate site-level configuration for each subsite.

What changes in multisite #

  • Settings are managed at network level
  • Plugin behavior is designed around network activation
  • WP-CLI includes network-specific commands
  • Monitoring can include network-aware data

Recommended setup #

  1. Network-activate SessionQuota Pro
  2. Set the global session limit
  3. Choose your enforcement mode
  4. Review role-based and membership-based rules
  5. Test login behavior across more than one site if your users move between sites

Good use cases #

  • Membership networks
  • Education platforms
  • Franchise or portal multisites
  • Multi-brand networks with shared users

Things to test #

  • Login behavior across multiple sites
  • Frontend session widgets on network sites
  • WP-CLI network commands
  • Monitoring visibility and retention behavior
